You will absolutely need a doctor's prescription with the note "at home".

Are KOP 12 treatments reimbursed?

Reimbursements between physiotherapy acts and osteopathy acts are different.

Reimbursement details are available in the “Services” tab

Do I need to consult a doctor first for a session at KOP12?

For a physiotherapy session, you will need a medical prescription.
For an osteopathy session, it is best to consult a doctor before making an appointment. Only doctors are authorized to make a medical diagnosis. The doctor's job is to ensure that there is no serious pathology underlying your symptom. He is the first-line practitioner par excellence.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a paramedical specialty that allows a qualified professional to work on different forms of rehabilitation, muscle strengthening, mobility and endurance of a patient. Physiotherapy is necessary following an injury, surgery or a traumatic event for the human body. Physiotherapy concerns both the skeleton and the functions of the body. It improves the patient's quality of life. The title of physiotherapist is only reserved, in France, for people who have obtained a state diploma validated by the National Council of the Order of Masseurs-Kinesitherapists and who are registered with the National Council of the Order.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a method of care that is used to identify and treat mobility restrictions that can affect all of the structures that make up the human body.

Any loss of mobility of joints, muscles, ligaments or viscera can cause an imbalance in the state of health. Osteopathy is based on the body's ability to self-balance and on a thorough knowledge of anatomy.

Osteopathy is based on three original concepts:

  • the hand, a tool for analysis and care;

  • taking into account the entirety of the individual;

  • the principle of tissue balance.

It requires specific skills, in-depth knowledge of how the human body works and the interactions between each of its systems.

It prevents and treats many physical disorders and also acts on the nervous, functional and psychological levels. It helps everyone to manage, responsibly and autonomously, their “life capital” for daily well-being.
